The main objective of this project was to increase the water storage capacity of the pond and promote rainwater harvesting in the area.
By deepening the existing pond, the project aimed to capture more rainwater during the monsoon season and store it for future use, particularly for irrigation and groundwater recharge.

As a result of the pond deepening work, the water storage capacity of the pond is estimated to increase by approximately 215.50 lakh liters. This significant increase in storage capacity will help the village store more rainwater, which can be used throughout the year.
